Study Abroad Experiences

During my time in India, I had the opportunity to visit Bandhwari, a rural village where I engaged with the local community and learned about grassroots initiatives driving social impact. This experience provided valuable insight into sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and the challenges faced by underserved communities. Through meaningful conversations and hands-on learning, I gained a deeper appreciation for the power of education, innovation, and community-driven solutions in creating lasting change.

My study abroad experience in the UAE took me to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where I explored the region’s rapid economic growth and global business landscape. A highlight of the trip was visiting the U.S. Consulate, where we gained insight into international relations and diplomacy. Additionally, our visit to DP World provided a firsthand look at global trade and logistics in one of the world's busiest ports. These experiences showcased the UAE’s role as a global hub for business, innovation, and cultural exchange.

During my time in Thailand, I experienced a unique blend of business, culture, and sustainability. Visiting the Bhuraj Group and Jim Thompson Company provided valuable insights into Thailand’s industries, from corporate strategies to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship. A visit to an elephant sanctuary highlighted the country’s dedication to wildlife conservation and ethical tourism. These experiences deepened my understanding of Thailand’s economic landscape while emphasizing the importance of sustainability and cultural heritage in global business.

In 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the Director of the Bandhwari Project during my study abroad experience in India. This leadership role allowed me to oversee initiatives aimed at supporting the local community while gaining hands-on experience in project management and cross-cultural collaboration. Working closely with community members, I helped drive sustainable efforts focused on education, entrepreneurship, and social impact. This experience not only strengthened my leadership and problem-solving skills but also reinforced my passion for global engagement and community development.

Studying abroad in France was an enriching experience that deepened my understanding of the language and culture. Living in Angers, a charming town rich in history, I had the opportunity to stay with a French host family, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in daily life and traditions. Attending Université Catholique de l'Ouest further strengthened my French language skills and provided a deeper appreciation for France’s educational system. This experience not only enhanced my fluency but also broadened my perspective on cultural exchange and global connections.

My first journey to India in 2023 was a transformative experience, as I had the opportunity to visit Bandhwari village for the first time and witness the impact of community-driven initiatives. Additionally, meeting and collaborating with students from Symbiosis International University provided a unique cross-cultural exchange, allowing me to gain new perspectives on education, business, and social impact in India. This experience was the beginning of my deeper connection to global learning and community engagement.
